Holistic NAD+ contains nicotinamide riboside (NR), which increases NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) levels in the body. NAD+ is a form of niacin (vitamin B3). NR is a precursor to NAD+ and is converted to this active form in the body. NR is found naturally in certain foods such as green vegetables, meat/fish, milk, but in relatively small amounts.
WHAT IS NAD+?
NAD+ is a naturally occurring coenzyme found in all of our cells and plays an important role in a wide range of metabolic processes in the body. Among other things, in the body's energy production, oxidation and repair processes.
By maintaining good levels of NAD+, this supports the process of repairing and protecting our cells and ensures optimal function of the mitochondria - the cell's energy producers.
