Lactovitalis® pro is our leading broad-spectrum lactic acid bacteria product and has been part of Holistic since 2008. This supplement delivers at least 20 billion active lactic acid bacteria from no less than 12 different strains in each capsule. The product contains carefully selected and well-studied strains and bacterial species, including L. rhamnosus and L. reuteri . Lactovitalis® pro also contains vitamin C, which supports the normal function of the immune system, vitamin B2, which contributes to the maintenance of normal mucous membranes, and FOS (fructooligosaccharides), a form of dietary fiber that ensures a favorable environment for the growth and activity of the beneficial bacteria in the intestine.

HOLISTIC BIOME

Lactovitalis® pro was awarded the award for Stomach Product of the Year at the Allt För Hälsan fair in Stockholm in 2017. Since then, we have continued to take care of and improve the formulation by, among other things, increasing the amount of bacteria and introducing new valuable strains. We have now created unique names for our exclusive lactic acid bacteria within our concept "Holistic Biome", which is abbreviated HB in the ingredient list. These are exclusive to us but represent the same strains and bacterial species that have been documented in independent studies.

WHY LACTOVITALIS® PRO?

Guaranteed delivery of live bacteria to the gut : Lactic acid bacteria are sensitive to oxygen, moisture, high temperatures and stomach and bile acids. These factors can disrupt their metabolic processes and reduce their effectiveness. It is not the number of bacteria you put in you that counts, but how many actually do good. Lactic acid bacteria only do most good when they reach the gut unharmed. To ensure that the bacteria remain active and viable throughout the entire production process, throughout the shelf life and also during the journey through digestion, we have taken careful measures.

The Holistic Biome strains are based on a patented technology that works to protect the good but sensitive lactic acid bacteria on their way from production - to the gut where most of our immune system is located.

Since the powder in the capsule itself forms the protective shell around the bacteria, it is possible, unlike many similar products on the market, to open the capsule and dose the powder into any food or drink. The bacteria remain active even outside the capsule shell.

Lactovitalis® pro is also supplied in a special jar with built-in desiccant, which optimizes the bacterial environment during storage and thus prolongs the survival of the bacteria. The compact jar reduces the air space, which in turn reduces the humidity level and significantly improves the storage conditions. By minimizing exposure to oxygen and moisture, the lactic acid bacteria remain protected and viable for longer.

12 strains for intestinal flora diversity: Different bacterial species and strains have different effects or tasks in the intestine and produce different substances such as vitamins, antioxidants, immune-supporting substances, etc. Different bacteria communicate with each other and with the cells of the intestine to achieve an optimal environment. They also counteract unwanted bacteria and other pathogenic organisms. The variation of strains is more important than the total number of bacteria in a product. This is because if you take 10 billion bacteria of one bacterial strain, all of these bacteria still only do what that bacterial strain can do. But if you have 10 different bacterial strains with a total of 5 billion bacteria, they interact and do an enormous amount more than just one bacterial strain can do even though there are fewer bacteria in total.
